This all-in-one combo pack includes four essential test kits for measuring and analyzing the pH, Ammonia, Carbonate & General Hardness and Nitrite/Nitrate levels in your pond water.
pH Test Kit
Provides an accurate and easy way to measure the pH value in your pond water. This test determines whether water is acidic or alkaline, and adjustments can be made accordingly.
Ammonia Test Kit
Ammonia in your pond can be a serious problem and requires an appropriate course of action. Weekly testing of ammonia levels is recommended and will help indicate whether the biological filter in your pond is effectively eliminating ammonia.
Carbonate & General Hardness Test Kit
Carbonate Hardness (KH) levels need to be tested on a regular basis because they fluctuate over time and can result in unstable pH levels in your pond water. Low Carbonate Hardness will result in poor plant growth and potentially contribute to water quality problems.
Testing for General Hardness (GH) should be performed to verify if the total hardness is within an acceptable range for your pond fish and plants. Pond water with a high hardness value is the main cause of unpleasant mineral deposits on water features.
Monitoring the nitrite level in your pond on a weekly basis will help prevent fish loss. Regular testing will reveal problems before your pond fish start to exhibit symptoms associated with stress and disease.
Nitrite/Nitrate Test Kit
Testing nitrate levels will help indicate the frequency of maintenance activities to be preformed on your pond. Nitrate is a natural cumulative by-product of the nitrogen cycle and a major contributing factor to unhealthy pond water. Generally, the greater the biological burden from sources such as fish waste, decomposing plant remnants and organic debris from pond surroundings, the faster the accumulation of nitrate in your pond. |
